Alicia Keys bares all in effort to bring attention to a dozen social-justice groups she is partnering with including the Trevor Project and global LGBT equality group All Out: “It’s you and me on a mission to create a kinder and more peaceful world. The #WeAreHere Movement begins today.”
The 15-time Grammy winner has penned an anthem to support 12 causes relating to poverty, gun control, education, gay rights and equality. All proceeds from sales of her new single will go toward those causes, along with a personal $1 million donation. Already, two organizations have matched her pledge.
In addition, she’s rallying fans and challenging them to raise their voices for the causes they believe in - because real change begins with all of us. Serviced to radio this week, 'We Are Here' is her first offering since 'Girl On Fire', which won Best R&B Album at this year’s Grammy Awards. 'We Are Here' is available to purchase on iTunes.
