Simone Battle of girlband GRL has died at the age of 25.

Screen-Shot-2011-10-26-at-9.42.00-PMThe singer's death was confirmed in a joint statement by Reign Deer Entertainment, Robin Antin, Kemosabe Records, and RCA Records.

The statement reads: "We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L.

"Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time."

Battle had a number of small TV roles before making it to the live shows of The X Factor US in 2011.

The following year she was selected to be part of a new Pussycat Dolls lineup, which was eventually rebranded as GRL.

The group recently visited Australia gaining them as smash hit with their single Ugly Heart.

Battle was found in her Los Angeles home on Sept. 5. A cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but law enforcement sources told tabloid site TMZ, she was found hanging and the death appears to be suicide.

Our thoughts go out to her family, friends and fans.

In his other life he is a creative director, film maker, photographer and designer... but pop is his one true love. Along with imaginary boyfriends, Nick Lachey and Channing Tatum  (his husband approves).
